Cricket trivia….Jaffer, Dhoni & Yuvi missing…:-(

Well, after the two days of hot and wild discussion, the series is back in action. Although, we have lost the first two test, the 16th consecutive win by aussies, we still have 2 more tests to play. We can still make the series level and reposte their stance. Sounds too optimistic, but YES, not impossible. Recall about the comeback we did when aussie was on India tour with Steve Waugh as captain. If you closely looks the performance of Aussies in the 1st two tests, it was not that good as we were expecting before the tour. In the 1st test somehow we managed to finish them under 400. The same was happening with the 2nd test (134-6), but yes, thanks to substandard umpiring, they reached 460. I feel, our bowling is not coming out as bad, but the problem is with the batting. With the 3 major batsmans, totally out of form..Jaffer, Dhoni & Yuvi. Dont know the problem with Jaffer, he always faces problem with the pitch away from country. And Yuvi, …haahhhh…If you all remember, before the test series with Pakistan, our captain Kumble said clearly in the press conference “Yuvi has to wait for test matches“. Just because of his 167 with Pakistan, he is in the team. 167 knock was not bad, and it was vital for that moment, but there is a difference between the Indian pitch & Austrailian pitch. And, there is much difference between the Pakistani bowler & Aussie bowler.
No comments about Dhoni. He is a wicket keeper, which is going fine & may be that he is simply out of form. We can expect his knock in upcoming two tests. The Dhoni Dhamaka…..
For the Perth test, we need a very good replacement of Jaffer & Yuvi. Otherwise, we will suffer again.
Waise, my personal feeling, we are missing performance of a very good batsman also, Rahul Dravid. He is playing well, but I am use to see his atleast 2 centuries in a test series.……Well, hope he comes with tons in Perth.

Now, there is another problem. We dont have openers. ..In test matches, openers are cut stone for the team. They set the pulse for the team. And we badly lag here. . Also, asking Dravid to open is worst decision by the team. The temperament required as an opener is completely different from the other position. And we are asking him to change this. We are asking him to change your outlook towards the game and change the way you bat in the game. The most dangereous thing. The batsman, who is playing 1 or 2 down, for the last 10 years, that too who is performing, we are expecting a change in the attitude towards the game. These experiments can be done with only the new players, but not with the experianced one.
Also, one more thing, we select the player in national team, by how he performs in the ranji trophy session & Under-19 tour, that too in there early one or two sessions. We never selects them by the position they are playing. I feel, we need an rivision in this approach.
I want to give a simple example from our current rivals…Aussies (Guys, dont get angry, I am not favouring them, I am picking one of the positive from them). Hussey made his debut quite late in the International career, because the middle order of aussies was strong with Beven. Aussie board could have selected him earlier also, and post him to any position. But, they never did that. He made his debut at the age of 27. P. Jacques also has to wait for a long to be a part of National team.
This keypoint has to be studied.

Its a simple point.
A developer with 10 years of experiance, can’t perform immiediately as a tester.
